A Very Big House!
In total, there are around 775 rooms in Buckingham Palace. These include 52 Royal and guest bedrooms, 19 State rooms, 188 staff bedrooms, 92 offices and 78 bathrooms. It also has its own cinema, swimming pool, post office and police station!
Buckingham Palace employs around 400 members of staff to maintain it, and with around 50,000 guests each year enjoying the likes of banquets and garden parties, it is clearly a very busy place. Though its administrative function is one of its main features, reminders of its purpose as a family home are visible all year round. King Charles III was born in the Palace and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge (Prince William and Kate) celebrated their wedding there.
