A Miracle in Itself

During the centuries that have passed since it was established, the Cathedral has undergone a series of change and restorations, yet has continued to offer daily prayers and services, making it one of the oldest organisations in the English-speaking world. There are at least three services each day as well as hundreds of community events every year, including concerts and graduations.

It is a much loved feature of Canterbury, and the Mother Church of the Anglican Communion, which was so close to being lost during World War II were it not for the efforts of dedicated firewatchers who stood on the roof and deflected bombs being dropped by the opposition.
