  • Our specialist-designed courses provide you with an opportunity to learn Business English as part of a unique and immersive experience.

    Classroom sessions will include a combination of individual, pair and groupwork, and will develop your technical and receptive Business English skills. Focused around a real life business case study, you will have an opportunity to learn and apply your new skills by presenting financials to a panel of professionals, writing reports, and taking part in meetings. Sessions will be interactive, you will learn to identify the broad range of British accents, comprehend newspaper articles, annual reports, write corporate e-mails, and understand business terminologies.

    Outside of the classroom, our specially selected activities will enable you to experience some of the best features of each local area. From tasty Afternoon Teas, visits to spectacular waterfalls, kayaking across lakes or relaxing in thermal baths, our unique itineraries mean that you will learn in an immersive environment where you can put your new skills into practise whilst making memories that will last a lifetime.

    By the end of our courses, you will have an improved understanding and confidence in writing and presenting in Business English, which will help you to communicate on the international corporate stage and widen your career prospects. Alongside this, your feedback report and development plan along with continued support will help you to comfortably operating in Business English.

    All course packages include: Onboarding, level placement test, learning materials, detailed progress reports, learning development plan, and continued support via access to Grammarly and chat via WhatsApp for 2 months after course completion.

  • Day 1: Welcome to Oxford!
    Arrive by 11am, settle in by exploring the city and its university with a walking tour from 1pm. Rest your legs with a bus tour to see more of the city, before coming together at 5.30pm for refreshments, ready to settle in with orientation, an overview of the week and your first lesson. In this first lesson, you will focus on introductions and some initial presentation practice. Relax with a film and food to prepare for the busy week ahead, whilst getting to know your coursemates.

    Day 2: Cultural Immersion, Business Correspondence, and Accounting & Finance
    The day’s lessons will start at 9am after breakfast. Each day will cover a range of receptive skills including speaking, comprehension, presenting and groupwork, alongside grammar and applied business English.
    You will have opportunity to practise your speaking and listening skills with general conversation activities, before moving on to focus on accents. Here, you will have the opportunity to develop your understanding of regional accents with practical experience - including phonecalls and listening comprehension. We’ll then hold a workshop on writing professional e-mails before having lunch.
    After a buffet lunch, move on to applied business skills, where you will focus on business correspondence, before spending the rest of the afternoon on finance. Using a combination of groupwork, listening, reading, speaking and presenting - you will cover accounting terminology (including correct use of the language), listen to and answer questions on a financial report, and learn how to present financials.
    After class, you will have a short break before taking a River Cruise to see Oxford whilst enjoying a cocktail to unwind after your first full day in class.

    Day 3: Meetings
    Today’s classes will include applied business skills, including meetings and accounting/finance, with several breaks throughout the day and lunch.
    The meetings lessons will include interactive sessions where you will work in groups on a meeting, follow a case study, develop skills and learn key language to be used in meetings.
    You will then be given a real case study to focus on financial results, developing your financial skills as you present the key results back.
    Finish at 3pm, before a history lesson at the Museum of Oxford, followed by some fish and chips.
    Later in the evening, travel to Bicester Village for some shopping. With more than 160 designer brands (including Mulberry, Burberry, Gucci), Bicester village is the second most visited attraction in the UK for Chinese visitors (after Buckingham Palace).

    Day 4: Briefings & Reports
    On this day we will focus on more applied business skills, such as briefings and report writing. Here you will be given a number of real life examples, news reports and case studies to analyse and report back on. You will develop your analysis skills and your written skills, as you learn key language to use.
    Finish the day with a picnic in Christchurch Meadow.

    Day 5: Recommendations, Proposals and Finance
    Another day of Applied Business Skills which will focus on problem solving, giving recommendations, language for presenting, business correspondence and finance.
    Your task for the final day’s panel assessment will be set.
    Dinner will be provided in the classroom, with the teacher being available until 8pm to support with preparation for the presentations for the next day.

    Day 6: Assessment Day - Panel Presentation

    We will enjoy a delicious breakfast before a morning of assessments. You will be given time to prepare, followed by an assessed meeting and the opportunity to present your case study to a panel. You will be given feedback on your presentational and speaking skills, along with feedback on your use of grammar and language. You will then be guided through developing your individual development plan, for your future learning.
    In the evening we will take a visit to the Ashmolean Museum and have dinner at its famous Rooftop Restaurant.

    Day 7: Departure Day
    Finish the week with a cooking breakfast and a 10.30am trip to the Museum of Oxford, before departing.
