Facts of a Global Business Language

The dominance of English as a global business language is evidenced through a number of facts and figures. 90% of all international airlines use English as a language of communication. 75% of all world mail correspondence is written in English, along with half of the world’s newspapers.
International working groups - such as the ASEAN trade group and oil exporters OPEC - use English as their lingua franca, alongside the likes of giants Nokia, Renault, Microsoft and Samsung, despite these being based in countries where English is not the national language.
With half of all international business deals being completed in English, it is no surprise that the language is becoming more and more important to learn, and Business English courses are growing in popularity as professionals seek to develop their skills and make an even greater impact on their industries.
