Centre of New Year Celebrations

One of the best times to hear Big Ben is during the New Year’s Eve celebrations. A vibrant display of fireworks takes place beside the clock tower as the famous chimes mark the stroke of midnight and the arrival of a brand new year.

It is a spectacle enjoyed by thousands of people in London, and those watching at home on their televisions. There are a number of videos on YouTube capturing the displays from over the years, which often include references to things which have happened in the twelve months previously.

We will pass Big Ben during our London Daytrip, and there will be plenty of opportunities for photos whilst you hear the chimes for yourself.
