Starting the Day Right
Britain is particularly well known for its delicious breakfasts. From a cooked ‘full English’ (which typically contains a fried egg, bacon, sausages and baked beans) to a toasted crumpet with jam, and ‘bubble and squeak’ - a dish consisting of fried potatoes and onions - our menus will help ensure that you start your day of learning in the best possible way.
To satisfy your lunchtime appetite we will offer another specially selected range of local dishes. The ‘Ploughman’s Lunch’ will help you sample some of the best British cheeses, breads and chutneys on one plate, and ‘Coronation Chicken’ - a cold dish consisting of curried mayonnaise and chicken which was invented specially to mark the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II in 1953 - may become your new favourite meal! Other lunch options include classic British pies, salads and jacket potatoes with traditional toppings.
Vegetarian substitutes will be provided for all dishes containing meat.
