5.7 Million Annual Visitors

We will visit the Tate Modern during our London Daytrip. This unique, identifiable building was an active power station for thirty years before becoming the home of the nation’s contemporary art collection. Each of its pieces originate from 1900 onwards.

The Tate Modern attracts over 5.7 million visitors per year and has some very well known pieces on display, including Picasso’s ‘Three Dancers’ and Duschamp’s earlier mentioned Fountain, one of the first major exhibits.

With such notable pieces, changing themes and innovative methods of display it is understandable why the Tate Modern is so popular, but just in case that is not enough, it also boasts some of the most incredible views of the city and River Thames from the top of its Switch House building.
