Flowing Into The Straits

As you may be able to gather, there are many stunning waterfalls in North Wales, and a third that merits particular mention is Aber Falls. At around 120 feet high, this waterfall is particularly dramatic, and can be heard from several hundred metres away. Aber Falls is one of the most popular waterfalls to visit in the Snowdonia National Park as it is so easy to access on foot. The water is part of the Afon Goch (Red River), and the point at which it falls is not far from its delta at the Menai Straits, the body of water which separates mainland Wales from the Island of Anglesey.
These three waterfalls represent a small but iconic fraction of Snowdonia’s wealth of natural beauty, and we visit each of them during our Scenic Wales course so that delegates can admire them too. You will not want to forget to bring a camera!
